About
Empowering Women and Girls in Our Local Community
Soroptimist International of Roseville is dedicated to empowering women and girls through education and training, fostering opportunities for economic independence and a brighter future.
History
The first Soroptimist club was formed in 1921 by a group of 80 women in Oakland, California. They chose their name from two Latin words meaning “best for women.” Soroptimists today continue the work begun by their predecessors.
The primary focus of our Roseville Soroptimist club is supporting girls and women rescued from sex trafficking. We provide clothing, hygiene kits, sponsor development programs, and empower women through education and essential job skills training.
Membership of our Roseville Soroptimist club provides an enriching environment for women to develop friendships and support of one another, while experiencing the excitement of our collective efforts to improve our community!
